Empties #4: Lush Cosmetics Ultrabland, Rose & Co Rose Petal Salve, Dermalogica Active Moist moisturiser

You may or may not have noticed that I've given my blog a bit of a spring clean. I've had this same blog for around 2 years now and never really bothered with the layout, and always took rubbish photos on my iphone. I've spruced things up and have decided to take photos with my DSLR and will eventually upgrade when I have the funds.

So! Nothing new, just a few monthly empties.

Lush Cosmetics Ultrabland

*Angels descend from heaven bringing copious amounts of Ultrabland with them*
This. Cleanser. Is. So. Good. I've spoken about this previously approximately 1000 years ago, and I still love it.
I use this to remove my make up (including waterproof!) and give my face a thorough cleanse before bed.
It's got lots of essential oils in it, beeswax, honey, rose...some good shit, basically. I've noticed that this is amazing for all skin types. I have friends who are oily, combination, normal, break out prone (me), and sensitive, and they all swear by this.
All you need to do is take a 20p size gloop, rub it all over your face (get right in between those lashes to remove mascara! Don't worry - it won't make your eyes sting or irritable)
Get a damp, warm flannel or muslin cloth - and wipe away the Ultrabland from your face. You'll see all the dirt and make up coming off on the cloth and it's so bloody satisfying. This 100g tub was around £12, but it lasted me approx 5 or 6 months, so it's well worth the money! (If you're apprehensive about spending that much, they do offer a smaller tub for half the price - and always ask for a free sample!)

I would definitely recommend this, and give it a 5/5.

Rose & Co Rose Petal Salve

I'm sorry in advance, but I'm one of those people who is obsessed with the smell of rose. That super comforting - bordering on old lady - pungent floral rose scent.
Well that's exactly what this smells like. I've never bought anything from Rose & Co. and found this brand online and needed a new lip balm; so I was sold! The applicator is slanted so it's really easy to apply to the lips. I'm very picky about lip balms; but this one made my lips feel really protected and it felt very moisturising. I'll admit, it felt a little...slippy; so I only wore this one before bed. When I woke up, my lips felt moisturised and soft and there was none of that bitty, peely feeling!

Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is prone to dry lips, and who loves the old lady rose smell. I would give this a 4/5.

Dermalogica Active Moist moisturiser

I got this probably around 8/9 months ago with a voucher I forgot I had. Personally, I love Dermalogica products. I find they work really well on my skin - and since they consultations are so detailed into what your skin type is, I rarely think I've purchased the wrong product.
This moisturiser on the other hand was just a bit meh. The claims are that it keeps oily/combination/normal skin hydrated whilst maintaining breakouts and not causing any more.
I found this to be spot on, but for the price I wasn't sold. As much as I love Dermalogica, I feel like there are cheaper alternatives out there for oily/combination/normal skin; which actually make a visible difference. This moisturiser wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

I would give this a 3/5.

Until next time!
