Boots Haul

So I got paid last week, and since I've haven't had money in 5eva, I decided on getting a few bits from Boots that I had ran out of/needed.

I love Boots for it's versatility, vast range of products and product selection across several price ranges.

Garnier Nutrisse Cream hair dye in Golden Brown
These Garnier hair dyes are currently 2 for £9. I've only ever used Loreal Feria's hair dyes, but I always bulk buy when they're on offer. The Loreal dyes weren't on offer so I figured I'd branch out. £4.50 per hair dye is pretty good price if you ask me! I opted for the shade Golden Brown as my hair colour is currently a medium toned brown. Since I haven't dyed it in so long it's gone a bit gingery due to my laziness and the sun; so I'm looking forward to see how good the coverage is. My roots are really dark as my natural hair colour is a very dark brown (almost black) so I struggle to find a shade that covers my roots but doesn't make my hair too dark!

Gilette Venus Breeze razor
I have really sensitive skin, and I suffer badly from razor rash no matter how much I prep my skin for shaving. I much prefer waxing, but I hate the awkward growing out stage, and also it’s a little above my budget right now. (I could never wax my own legs cause a) I’m a massive pansy b) there is NO way I wouldn’t make an awful mess) I’ve tried these razors before and they’re really good for my sensitive skin. They’re the ones with the little soap pads on either end of the blade so you don’t need to use a soap/ shaving cream when you use them. I’ve never experience any razor rash after using this shaver and shaving is now a breeze! (Ok, even I knew that joke was bad, but hey, the opportunity was there)

Traditional Skin Care – Glycerin and Rose Water
I can’t say I’ve ever seen this line in Boots before, but the packaging really intrigued me. I don’t know what it is, since it’s essentially quite boring, but it looked really old fashioned and almost had a medicinal look to it that I was intrigued by. I know that rose water is really good for your skin, and I use a rose water toner after cleansing and I'm planning on adding rose oil into my night time skin care routine. I’m also a huge sucker for the old lady, sweet, floral smell of rose products. This product you apply to a cotton pad and smooth over your skin after cleansing. It smells gorgeous, and it looks like an almost gel like consistency – I’ll report back my thoughts!

Bourjous Clubbing liquid eyeliner in Ultra Black
Bourjois had a 3for2 offer on, and I had run out of my all time favourite liquid eyeliner. I decided to get 2 of the eyeliners as I nearly had a breakdown when I had no back up when I finished my last one. The brush is suuuuuper thin. It’s perfect for getting a really sharp cat eye wing; the colour is a pure black, it’s long wearing and very versatile.

Bourjois Kohl & Contour eye pencil in 80 Vert Expressif
To maximise the Bourjous offer I picked up a dark, olivey green pencil eyeliner. I really enjoy wearing green eye make up as I think it’s very complimentary for my skin tone and eye colour, but I don’t really like it for an every day thing. It’s surprising I don’t have a green eyeliner already to be honest! It’s a really nice kohl pencil which feels creamy and smooth. It’s very pigmented and I can imagine would look lovely smoked out on the waterline. Very excited to try it!

Maybelline Brow Drama in Medium Brown
This brow mascara is my faaavourite to set my brows. Medium brown is the perfect shade for me - black is always too stark and dark brown is always way too dark. This one is my exact brow shade. The wand is really nice to brush the product through your brows and it sets everything in place. I would highly recommend this as a budget brow mascara.

Have any of you tried any of these products? What do you think?

What are your favourite things to get from Boots?
