Wishlist #2 - Christmas List

Ok, how is it December already?! This year has completely flown by and I can't believe we're preparing for Christmas again already. So every year I send my family a little list of inspiration in case they're stuck for Christmas present ideas. My birthday is early January, so it's always a combo of a Christmas and Birthday list.

It wouldn't be a Christmas list if I wasn't lusting over some beauty/ make up products!

Urban Decay - Spectrum Palette
I recently saw this in store and fell in love with it. As per usual with Urban Decay eyeshadows, the pigmentation is incredible - they feel really creamy and blendable. They're all really beautiful jewel tones and the packaging is so cute! The shadows come in a little UD box which you can remove the shadows from and use as a jewellery/ storage box after. The box is velvet lined and the 'sheet' of shadows just pops out for when you're done with them. The only problem with this is that it's not very travel friendly - which I don't mind really - due to the bright shades of this palette it probably wouldn't be one I'd opt to take travelling with me.

Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder
I've been on a hunt for a good loose setting powder - I've done my research and read review after review and all of them have raved about this LM powder. It's a really nice finely milled setting powder which is also good for brightening.

Soap & Glory - One Heck of a Blot Primer
Now we all know I'm in love with the Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot transluscent powder (reviewed here and here) - and I've been after a new primer for ages. All the ones I seem to try are siliconed based or they end up breaking me out. I tried this in store and it felt really light and refreshing on my skin so I figured it's worth a try!

The Balm - Betty LouManizer Highlighter
I've heard so many good things about The Balm's highlighters! I feel like Mary LouManizer is a cult favourite, but when I swatched it in store I felt like it would be a little too light for my complexion. Enter Betty LouManizer - the perfect golden bronzy highlighter that I've been searching high and low for! From what I could see it was really nicely finely milled and didn't have those big chunky shimmery bits in it which was great.

YSL - Black Opium Perfume
It wouldn't be a Christmas list if you didn't ask for perfume! I am so fussy with perfumes and scents, and it always takes me ages to find a perfume that I actually like. I alway tend to go back and forth a million times after testing perfumes as they can smell so different on a perfume card than they do on your skin! And over the time the smell can change and aah perfume shopping is so stressful. I'm awful at describing smells, but this perfume has top notes of coffee, pink pepper, pear and orange blossom and middle notes of vanilla, jasmine, patchouli and cedar.

Jo Malone - Blackberry & Bay Cologne
Aaaaaaaah Jo Malone perfumes are so niceeeeeeeeee!!!! But also ridiculously expensive, what the heck is with the prices of perfumes these days?! This scent is hard to describe, and by the name not one that I thought I would like. I'm not a huge fan of the scent of bay on it's own, but it just works with this perfume?! The top notes are blackberry, bay leaf and grapefruit with middle notes of cedar, vetiver and floral notes. It sounds like this perfume would be super fruity with a touch of flowery but it's really not! It's a hard one to describe, so I definitely recommend trying it out in store!

In addition to these beautiful beauty items, I've also asked for some cosy slippers (hey it's winter, my feet get cold!), some yankee candles in an array of scents, a travel tangle teezer, some chocolate covered pretzels and some gift vouchers.

What are you all lusting after for Christmas?

If you've got any questions or suggestions then feel free to drop me a comment!

  1. I'm usually not a primer type of person because I always feel like most primers don't do anything (except costing me money) but I really like that S&G primer! I also put Black Opium and the The Balm highlighter on my list, are we the same person Ram? x
