Beauty Box: Look Incredible July 2016

Soooooo I have finally jumped on the beauty box bandwagon. It took me a long time to find a beauty box that I could see myself actually wanting every month. After lots of questions and googling I discovered Look Incredible - a beauty box where you receive 5 full size products each month, ranging from make up to skin care.
There's a standard box for £18.00 with 5 full size products from high street to high end and then £35.00 for the deluxe box where you receive 5 full size high end products.

My first box was for the month of July 2016 and I'm super impressed with the products and range of items I got!

Box worth: £101.49
What I paid: £35.00

Benefit - Dew The Hoola Liquid Bronzer
£22.50

I'm not the biggest fan of Benefit and have only ever bought 1 of their products before. I find the brand to cater not at all to PoC and that a lot of the counter and store staff are very snooty (just my experience!) When I saw this Dew The Hoola range release I was intrigued by it as I'm a big fan of a dewy look!
This is a liquid bronzer that is matte, shimmerless, sheer liquid bronzer. Now, I use the term bronzer lightly because this is essentially my skin tone - so for me, I reckon I'd use this mixed in with my foundation to make it a little more dewy. It's really lightweight and blends nicely, but doesn't bronze my skin tone at alllllllll.

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabrics #2
£29.99

I've never tried a make up product from Giorgio Armani, so I was intrigued for this little guy! This is a lovely reddish blush shade, it's a cream/liquid which has a siliconey consistency and smooths out to a sheer wash of colour. I really like the shade and I think it'll be very flattering on a range of skin tones.

Ultrasun AfterSun
£19.00

I was so surprised to see such a huge product in the box - this guy is 150ml! I never really used after sun, as I'm rarely out in the sun for long periods of time, and if I am, then I'm smart enough to use a high SPF and stay in the shade so never really burn. BUT I think after sun is always handy to have on hand, if not for myself but for my pasty ass friends. This one claims to sooth and cool irritated skin and helps it heal quicker if you do burn. It's a gel/lotion kinda consistency and blends really nicely and sinks into the skin very quickly. It also has no preservatives, emulsifiers or mineral oils!

BioDerma Hydrabio Riche Moisturising Cream
£14.50

BioDerma is another brand I've always been intrigued by but never delved into - I find their products a little intimidating as they have such a huge range! I think a moisturiser is a perfect first start to the brand - this one is designed for dry to very dry skin (I have normal to combo skin), and is all about rebalancing and rejuvenating your skin. I'm looking forward to trying this out!

Mac Matte Lipstick - Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2
£15.50

I'm a big fan of a Mac lipstick, especially in the matte formula - the Miley Cyrus shades are probably ones that I wouldn't rush out to purchase, but this is described as a really lovely pinky/red shade with slight orangey undertones. This is a lot more orange on me than described, and I think this is going to be a really nice summer shade and will suit a range of skin tones.

(Top to bottom: Dew The Hoola, Blushing Fabrics, Mac Lipstick)

Wearing Dew The Hoola, Blushing Fabrics and the Miley Cyrus Viva Glam 2 Mac lipstick.

I mixed Dew The Hoola into my foundation and in all honesty didn't really make a huge difference. Whilst dotting on my foundation and then the bronzer onto my face there was literally no difference in the shade. It made my foundation look a little more glowy, but didn't make a difference noticeable for me to grab for this. I'll probably use this up by mixing it into my foundation but I won't be repurchasing this or recommending this for any of my fellow people of colour.

The Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabrics is really lovely to wear. This is my first ever cream/liquid blush, so I just dabbed a tiny bit of this onto the apples of my cheeks using my ring finger and dabbed enough until it was blended out. I tried blending it out with a brush but it practically disappeared, so I think fingers is best for application! It's a really lovely 'flushed' look which just adds a bit of life to my cheeks. It also lasts a really long time and didn't fade on my skin throughout the day.

Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 is described as a hot pink with reddish undertones but this is definitely more of an orange shade on me. This reminds me a lot of Lady Danger by Mac and I really like it! I might gift this to a friend since I do have Lady Danger and I find the shades are very similar on my skin tone. Like all matte Mac lipsticks, it has really good staying power and a lovely matte finish. It's not transfer proof, nor smudge proof, but it's very long wearing. (And obviously if you eat a giant sandwich it will fade away, just a gentle reminder)

And that's it for July's box! I'm so impressed with all of these products and reckon I'll get use out of all of them. Once I've got more use out of these I'll no doubt post a look, or reviews for them, so keep an eye out for those! Have you tried any of these products before? What did you think of them?

If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to drop me a comment!
