Beauty Box: Look Incredible October 2016

You may have realised that I didn't do a review of the September 2016 Look Incredible box; that was because it was pretty underwhelming. For some reason there were 4 products instead of 5 (one was the Too Faced Selfie Powders, so that could be why! If you missed my review and swatches you can catch it here) and the rest of the box were things I didn't like or wouldn't use.

So today I'll be reviewing and swatching the October box which has gone back to it's original standard! And for bonus points, here's a little update of the products I got from the August box. (You can catch my initial review here)

1. Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Plumped Up Peony
I still like this little guy but I just haven't reached for it as much as I thought I would. It's a really nice shade but there's something about creamy blushes I'm not a fan of.
2.Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lipstick in Razzle Dazzle Rose
Still a big fan of this lipstick! It's super hydrating, creamy and a pretty colour. I've found I opt for this shade when I can't really be assed with my make up but still want to give the illusion I've tried a little. It's a perfect spring and summer shade
3. Benefit Hervana Ultra Plush Lip Gloss
As I mentioned in my initial post I'm not a gloss kinda gal at all, so haven't used this!
4. Giorgio Armani Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in #5 Copper
I'm still super impressed with the longevity of this eyeliner and I really like using this as an eyeshadow base as it boosts the shade and how long it lasts on my lid.
5. Elemis Pro Collagen Hydra Gel Eye Mask
It's a shame I couldn't get more uses out of these cause I really liked using them! They're really hydrating, comfortable and soothing for the delicate under eye area.

Oooookay, now onto October's box!

So this month's box has been a collab with Which Beauty Box UK who is a UK based beauty blogger who reviews tonnes and tonnes of different beauty boxes. I thought this was such a nice little collab and a great shout out to someone who speaks so highly of the brand! This time there were 6 products which was a nice surprise!

Box worth: £90.00
What I paid: £35.00

Japonesque - Make Up Setting Spray - £29.00
I'm so intrigued by this aerosol setting spray! Japonesque is a brand I've never heard before let alone seen featured in a beauty box so I'm excited! I've used a range of setting sprays before but never an aerosol. I used this for the first time today and it felt a little weird using an aerosol on my face. (very reminiscent of those days when someone told you hairspray would fix your make up in place....) This felt really nice and cooling, has a pleasant and unnoticeable scent and dried within seconds. I'm now a full 11 hours after applying my make up and it's still firmly in place. I specifically wore an eyeshadow I knew wasn't great for it's lasting power and wore no primers and it's still there! I'm very impressed after my first use.

Mac - Upward Lash Mascara - £19.00
This product threw me a little as it looks so similar to a tube of Mac lipstick! When I pulled the wand out I thought I'd been sent a faulty product since it's so short but then realised...oh...it's meant to be like this. Not the greatest first impression but I was intrigued nonetheless. After first use I'm sorry I judged you so quickly! This little guy is really impressive - fans out my lashes nice and evenly, a really dark black formula so it gives me some full, fluttery and long looking lashes. Since the 'brush' is so short it made it really easy to get to the inner and outer corners without stabbing myself in the eye or clumping up my lashes. I'm impressed! It's also great for my lower lashes which I always struggle with as they're fairly long and I end up with a lot of smudging. Not sure if I would repurchase for the hefty £19.00 but I'm definitely going to enjoy using this.

Too Faced - Lip Liner in Perfect Red - £15.00
I'm sensing a theme with all these Too Faced products recently? In all fairness I have been after a nice Hollywood red lip pencil as it's surprisingly the one lip liner shade I don't own. I loooove the fact that it's a retractable pencil! There's nothing worse than bringing your favourite lip liner then realised you've forgotten to sharpen it. It's also really ergonomic, with a rubber grip making it a million times easier to apply. It's a really creamy long wearing formula and I'll definitely get a lot of use out of this.

Aromatherapy Associates - Support Breathe Roller Ball - £17.00
Another product I'm really intrigued by! I initially thought this was a perfume but realised it's a roller ball with lots of luxurious oils and scents. Mainly eucalyptus, pine, tea tree and peppermint oil. I think this is gonna be really good for dabbing onto my pulse points in those winter months when I'm feeling a bit run down and need something to help clear my sinuses and a heavy head.

Neutrogena - Make Up Remover Towelettes (x2) - £10.00
Ironically I needed some travel size make up remover wipes rather than lugging around my family pack of baby wipes whenever I go away. These are perfect size for travelling and claim to remove and dissolve all traces of dirt, oil and make up...including waterproof mascara! I've used these before and found them to be really gentle, especially on my sensitive eye area and removed a large amount of my make up. I always use an oil cleanser to remove every trace of make up but these were an amazing head start making cleansing a lot easier.

Wearing the Too Faced Lip Liner in Perfect Red, Mac Upward Lash Mascara and the Japonesque Aerosol Setting Spray.

I'm really impressed with the October box and I'm looking forward to playing around with everything!

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
