Review & Swatches: Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw, Lolita & Backstage Bambi

As you're all probably aware I'm a huge fan of a liquid to matte lipstick. The easy application, long wear cause I'm too lazy to reapply and (usually) transfer proof so I don't end up marking my territory over everything I eat and drink from.

I'm a big fan of Kat Von D's make up and they were annoyingly available exclusively to Sephora (and there's no Sephora in the UK). But we have now been blessed by the make up gods and Kat Von D Beauty has launched in Debenhams. I bought Outlaw and Lolita from Sephora and was gifted Backstage Bambi.

I've had Lolita and Outlaw for a long time now and I'm in love with the formula. It's a long tube with a pretty pattern on the applicator and tube itself - it comes with a long wand with a doe foot applicator which is small but not too small and perfect size to get right into the corners of your lips. The formula itself dries to matte pretty quickly. It's near enough transfer proof (you'll get a tiiiiiny bit of transfer right after it's dried) and it legit lasts all day. I can eat, drink and be quite clumsy with this lipstick on and it barely fades. It'll fade a little in the middle if I don't drink through a straw etc, but apart from that it stays on my lips for around 8 hours. They're also super comfortable - they don't make my lips feel dry or tacky, I don't get the urge to constantly lick my lips, nor does it crumble or sink into the fine lines of my lips over time.

OK, now onto the shades!

Lolita is described as a chestnut rose, nude shade. For me, this is the perfect nude shade for my skin tone, it's a subtle brown / pink toned nude which is incredibly flattering for my skin tone. I loooove wearing this one over different shade lip liners (red, brown, orange, burgundy, berry) as it completely transforms the shade!

Outlaw is described as a brick red - for me it's that' true blue based Hollywood red that everyone needs in their lip collection. I'm a sucker for a red lipstick and this shade combined with this formula is a match made in heaven for me. Not only is it super flattering for my skin tone, but it's one of those shades that would suit any shade of skin with any tone. Also, because it's a blue toned red it makes your teeth look super white!

Backstage Bambi is a bright, hot, Barbie pink. I really love this shade as I often struggle with brighter pinks making me look a bit washed out and ashy. This has the perfect blue undertone which means it still packs a punch shade wise, but doesn't make me look ashy or too OTT.

Have you tried any of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks? What are your favourite shades?
