Empties #23: Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Balm, Collection Sheer Loose Powder, Benefit They're Real! Mascara

I'm assuming none of you are too fussed with my waffle at the beginning of an empties post so imma just jump right in!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Nourishing Balm
This hair product is basically like a hair mask. The directions say to apply on damp washed hair and leave it in for 10 minutes then rinse it out. I never understand why hair companies think that I a) spend over 10 minutes in the shower or b) will wash my hair in the shower, apply this, get out the shower for 10 minutes then re-enter the shower to rinse this out.... Anyways - I applied this on damp and on dry hair and much preferred the outcome when used on dry hair. I applied directly to scalp and ends, worked the product in and left it on my hair for as long as possible; ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. My hair felt really well nourished, smooth and soft without feeling too soft where it was unmanageable. I got around 2 uses when I had long hair and 3 short hair uses out of this so a fair amount! The price was cheap and cheerful and I can definitely see myself repurchasing this, especially when so many high street stores have hair care offers on.
Overall I would give this a 4/5

Collection Sheer Loose Powder
This powder is so unbelievably underrated. This is a loose translucent powder designed to set make up and is excellent for baking. Being a PoC it's difficult to find translucent powders that don't leave a heavy white cast and this one really doesn't! It blends really nicely and disappears into the skin seamlessly. Amazing for baking and sets my make up all day! PLUS, it's about £3!!! I would definitely repurchase this in the future.
Overall I would give this a 4/5

Benefit They're Real! MascaraAhhh Benefit! I really hate to love Benefit's products. As I've mentioned probably an annoying amount of times; I really don't like Benefit as a brand. They don't cater to PoC well, nor do I like the company's ethics etc etc. BUT this mascara is actually very good. I'm not usually a fan of plastic combed mascaras but this one has really fine teeth and almost a ball shape on the end that really grabs hold of those smaller lashes and coats them in a thick dark formula. It doesn't make my lashes go crunchy or hard and feels really lightweight to wear. I was luckily gifted this but I can't see myself buying it with the hefty price tag that goes along with it!
Overall, I would give this a 4/5

And that's it for today! Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
